Laptop Parts Expert Company Policies

The policies set forth below constitute the terms and condition of your use and purchase from laptopartsexpert.com. By placing or submitting an order with Laptop Parts Expert, you agree to be bound by the following:

1. GENERAL

   1. PAYMENT TERMS AND TAXES
      

      All prices are advertised in U.S. currency and exclude taxes, insurance, shipping and handling, unless otherwise indicated. Prices are subject to change at any time without notice. Taxes will be added to your order total, and you are responsible for paying sales tax unless a California reseller certificate is submitted in accordance with the below.

      Payment is due at the time of placing or submitting your order, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

      Sales tax of 8.25% will be added to your order total for all orders shipped within California. Sales tax of 8.75% will be added to your order total for all orders shipped within Orange County, California. Laptop Parts Expert will exclude California sales tax upon presentation of your California Resellers Certificate, which must be presented and accepted by Laptop Parts Expert prior to submitting or placing your order.    2. SHIPPING

      You are responsible for all shipping, freight and insurance costs, which will be added to your order total, unless otherwise indicated. Title and risk of loss passes to you when Laptop Parts Expert delivers the products to the shipping carrier. You are responsible for notifying Laptop Parts Expert of any loss and of the filing of a claim for recovery for any loss during transit.

      Laptop Parts Expert will pay for shipping, at no cost to you, for all online orders over $79.00, exclusive of taxes. These order must be in the 48 contiguous states. Orders under $79.00  will be charged all applicable shipping costs. Laptop Parts Expert reserves all right to designate the shipping carrier.

      Any shortages must be reported to Laptop Parts Expert within three days of your receipt. This may be done by phone only.

      International customers are responsible for all tariffs and brokerage fees. If you do not pay the carrier for these fees, they will be charged to the credit card used on your order.

   3. TYPOS

      Laptop Parts Expert is not responsible for typographical errors made in its advertising and/or within the text of Laptop Parts Expert website.

   4. MISC.

      All rights, duties, claims, obligations and/or disputes arising out of your purchase from Laptop Parts Expert shall be governed in accordance with the laws of the state of California. In the even t of legal action, you agree to submit to the jurisdiction of the Superior Court of the State of California, County of Orange, and said court shall have the exclusive right to resolve and all claims between you and Laptop Parts Expert.

      In the event that it becomes necessary for Laptop Parts Expert to incur any costs or expenses in connection with enforcement and/or collection activities, Laptop Parts is entitled to actual attorneys fees and costs of collection. All unpaid balances shall accrue interest at a rate of 1.5% per month.

2. RETURNS

   1. TERMS AND OBLIGATIONS

      Products may be returned only upon the prior approval and issuance of a Return Materials Authorization (RMA) from Laptop Parts Expert, in accordance with the RMA instructions below. RMAs for refund must be requested within 30 days of the date of your invoice which you are seeking return. Products can only be returned for defect or error. Functional products returned for credit are subject to a 25% restocking fee.

      For products returned within 30 days from the date of the original order, Laptop Parts Expert will offer a replacement product (if available), or a store credit or refund in the amount of the purchase price of the product, exclusive of shipping and handling. For products returned more than 30 days from the date of the original order, Laptop Parts Expert will offer a replacement product (if available) or a store credit in the amount of the purchase price of the product, exclusive of shipping and handling.

   2. RMA INSTRUCTIONS
      1. If you wish to return a product, you must contact Laptop Parts Expert by phone to request an authorization number, which is your RMA, toll free at 866-410-0620, on Monday through Friday between 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. PT. RMA information is issued by telephone only. Unauthorized and unmarked product returns will not be accepted.
      2. When calling to request an RMA, please have the following information available: invoice number, name the order was placed under, item number, and the nature of the problem.
      3. All returned products must be shipped in sufficient packaging material. Failure to do so will void the RMA and warranty.
      4. Laptop Parts Expert must receive returned products within 30 days of the date of issuance of the RMA. A new RMA must be issued after expiration of 30 days. Products received more than 30 days from the date of issuance of the RMA will be subject to a 25% restocking fee.
      5. All returned products must include any and all cables, drivers, disks or other accessories provided with the product unless otherwise authorized.
      6. You are responsible for shipping costs on returns. Returned products shipped C.O.D. will be refused.
      7. You may request a replacement product for the returned product. Replacement products may be processed as follows:
         1. You may request an advance replacement, wherein the replacement product will be shipped upon your request at the time of issuance of an RMA, and your credit card will be charged. When the returned product is received, the credit card transaction will be reversed.
         2. Laptop Parts Expert will ship your replacement product at the time the returned product is returned and processed.
         3. At Laptop Parts Expert discretion, a replacement product may be shipped at the time of issuance of an RMA without charge. If Laptop Parts Expert does not receive the returned product within 15 days, your credit card will be charged for the replacement product.
      8. Refunds and credits are issued only after the returned product has been received, tested, and verified for authenticity. For the status of processing of your returned product, please email rma@laptoppartsexpert.com or call toll free at 866-410-0620, on Monday through Friday between 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. PT.
      9. The manufacturers warranty is null and void unless otherwise indicated in writing. Laptop Parts Expert warranty is voided if the returned products are not returned in their as-sold condition, matching the specifications and serial numbers for all components contained therein.



3. WARRANTIES

   1. WARRANTY DESCRIPTION

      Laptop Parts Expert warrants that all products meet the specification and use as indicated within the product description for the specific product within this website. Should any product not conform to its product description, Laptop Parts Expert will issue a credit in the amount of the price of the product or provide a conforming replacement product. The warranty period is as follows:

      • 1-year AC Adapters, Auto/Air Adapters, Batteries , Memory
      • 90-days DC Jacks, Keyboards, LCDs, Optical Drives, Plastics
      • 30-days CPUs

      This limited warranty covers only normal use. It does nor supercede, extend, revive or replace the Original Electronic Manufacturers Warranty (OEM). The manufacturers warranty is null and void unless otherwise indicated in writing. Further, this warranty does not apply in the following circumstances: 1. defects resulting from improper or inadequate installation, use or maintenance; 2. alterations or modifications by you or unauthorized third parties; 3. accidental or intentional damage; or 4. normal wear and tear.

   2. DISCLAIMER

      Laptop Parts Expert is a reseller of new, used and recycled products and claims no association to any manufacturer. All product markings applied by Laptop Parts Expert are for identification purposes only and are no intended to indicate product origin. Where appropriate, products are marked with serial numbers, and any warranty on such products is void if that serial number is removed or tampered with. You agree to indemnify and hold Laptop Parts Expert harmless from and against any and all claims, damages, expenses or losses Laptop Parts Expert incurs as a result of unauthorized warranties and/or representations as to origin made by you in connection with the resale of this product.

      Except as otherwise stated herein, Laptop Parts Expert expressly disclaims any and all warranties, either expressed or implied, including implied warranties of fitness for particular purpose and merchantability. The term of any warranties not disclaimed herein is limited to 90 days from the date of your purchase. The maximum liability of Laptop Parts Expert is limited to the purchase price you paid for the product. Laptop Parts Expert is not liable for its non-performance when such performance is prevented due circumstances beyond its control. Laptop Parts Expert is not liable for property damage, personal injury, loss of use, interruption of business, lost profits, lost data, or other consequential, punitive or special damages, however caused, whether for breach of contract or warranty, negligence, any intentional acts in tort, strict liability or otherwise.
