When ordering an Acer Aspire One netbook AC adapter replacement or power supply, check the power ratings for voltage and amperage on the bottom of the laptop to make sure you are ordering the correct AC power adapter. Some Aspire One netbook models have more than one AC adapter or power supply depending on the amperage rating. The power rating should be taken from the netbook-laptop, not the AC adapter because this is ensures the best match of what power the laptop needs. You should be able to find an AC power rating that looks like this: 19V --- 1.58A. It can be on the label on the bottom of the laptop or in the battery compartment. Laptop-Netbook AC adapters are safe to use within +/- 1V of the voltage power rating. It is also safe to have a higher amperage than marked on the laptop because the laptop can only pull the amperage it needs. Improperly using a laptop AC adapter delivering less than the required amperage will cause the power supply to burn up because the laptop is pulling more amperage than the AC power adapter can give it. Also, check the DC Jack on the back of the laptop to make sure it is not loose. A loose DC Jack connection will give the appearance that a replacement AC adapter is required, although it is just a loose connection at the DC jack and the laptop is just not making a good connection with power.
